The Weather Star

The Weather Star, standing for Satellite Transponder Addressable Receiver, was The Weather Channel's first venture in building an addressable character generator to show localized weather information to viewers of their cable tv channel.

The first Weather Star had three revisions to the boards known as the STAR I, STAR II, and STAR III.
